AI Readiness for Human Resources

The AI Readiness for Human Resources exam proves you can use AI across hiring, performance, and people analytics without breaking the bias controls, privacy expectations, and trust the function is built on.

READINESS certification mark, AI SKILLS, issued by jusCode Academy.

Engineering teams are shipping AI features into every internal tool. HR is the function that has to make sure those features do not introduce hiring bias, monitoring overreach, or works-council conflict. This cert is the visible proof you can keep pace with the technical side while holding the line that protects employees.

Who this cert is for

Early career

If you're early in your HR career

Every HR tech vendor at the conference is selling AI for screening, sentiment, and engagement. The HR generalists who get pulled into the AI vendor reviews are the ones who can name the disparate-impact risk in a hiring screener and the legal-basis question in a sentiment tool. This cert says you can do both before you have years of project work to point to.

Mid-career

If you've been in HR for years

Your CHRO is being asked when the team will deploy AI screening. Legal is asking who owns the bias audit. Leadership is asking when the performance reviews will be AI-assisted. Your job is to give a calm, defensible answer in each case. This cert is proof you can give one that survives the works council, the auditor, and the candidate who later asks why they were rejected.

What you’ll prove

  • Name the disparate-impact risk in an AI hiring screener even when the model never sees protected attributes.
  • Set the right legal-basis and consent posture for AI in employee data processing (engagement, sentiment, productivity).
  • Push back on AI 'productivity scoring' that measures activity instead of outcomes.
  • Run the works council, vendor risk, and policy conversations that have to happen before any AI tool touches the employee population.
  • Build an audit trail for AI-influenced people decisions that holds up in litigation and regulatory review.

Sample questions

Real questions from the bank, in the same shape you’ll see in the exam. Correct answers are not shown.

  1. Q01Hiring

A team wants to use AI to screen job applications. The biggest HR-led concern should be:

    • Speed of screening.
    • Disparate-impact bias against protected groups. Even when the model never sees the protected attribute, proxy features (zip code, school, gaps) reproduce historical bias.
    • Cost per screened resume.
    • Branding of the vendor.
  2. Q02Employee data

A team wants to feed employee Slack messages into an LLM for sentiment analysis. Best HR-led objection:

    • Cost of the tokens.
    • Employee privacy expectations, works council consultation rules in some jurisdictions, and the legal basis for processing. Slack-message sentiment is a high-risk processing activity.
    • Output speed.
    • Brand alignment.
  3. Q03Workplace monitoring

Leadership wants to use AI to score employee productivity. The HR-led pushback:

    • Output speed.
    • Productivity is multi-dimensional and most AI proxies (keystrokes, screen time, app usage) measure activity, not productivity. This is a measurement design flaw before it is a policy issue.
    • Cost.
    • Branding.

Honest tradeoffs

  • · Not a SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or PHR.
  • · Not a vendor-specific HR tech certification.
  • · Not a substitute for jurisdiction-specific employment law training.

It is proof you can hold the line on bias, privacy, and trust as AI tools enter every people decision.

Frequently asked

Will my CHRO take this seriously?
AI policy is on every CHRO's agenda right now. A team member with a verifiable credential covering bias, monitoring, and works-council risks is something the CHRO can point to during the next board update. The public verify URL at academy.juscode.co/c/<id> is one click from their browser.
Is this region-specific?
Questions cover the principles that apply broadly: bias, privacy, consent, monitoring, transparency. They do not test EU AI Act vs US state-by-state in detail; that is the kind of work counsel does, not a 50-question exam.
Do I need to know employment law?
No. The exam tests the questions HR has to ask, not the legal conclusions. Knowing when to escalate is the load-bearing skill.
What if I fail?
Pay $2 to retry once after the 2-hour gate. Fresh subset on retry.
Will candidates recognize this on a LinkedIn profile?
Yes, verification is built in. Each certificate has a public page at academy.juscode.co/c/<id> (IDs follow the pattern jcarhr-2026-AB7K). Paste the URL into LinkedIn's Licenses and Certifications section. Recruiters click once and see issuance date, recipient name, and live status. No login required on their side, no friction.
How long is the cert valid?
One year from issue. Renewal exams pull from the refreshed bank.

Before you start

  • · You’ll capture the name on your certificate before the exam starts. It cannot be edited after publishing.
  • · 45 min hard timer. The server auto-submits whatever’s answered when it expires.
  • · One attempt per purchase. Fail it? Pay $2 to retry this cert once after the 2-hour gate. Pass it? You'll receive a 50% off coupon valid 30 days for your next Readiness cert.
  • · Read the honor code. AI-assisted attempts may be reviewed and certificates revoked.

What this changes for you

BEFORE

Recruiters are pasting JDs into AI to screen resumes and you have not yet sat down to figure out whether that opens you up to a bias-discrimination claim. You can sense it should and you cannot quite explain why to the head of TA.

AFTER

You can name which screening uses are defensible, which are not, and where the model's training data will silently disadvantage candidates. The head of TA invites you to write the policy because you are the person who can actually do it.
