- Is this an AIOps vendor cert?
- No. The exam is vendor-neutral. The judgment it tests applies whether you use Datadog, New Relic, PagerDuty AIOps, Dynatrace, or a home-rolled stack.
- Do I need to be a Linux + Kubernetes expert to pass?
- No. Questions are framed at the conceptual level: blast radius, kill switches, approval tiers, audit. If you have shipped one incident response cycle in your career, you have enough context.
- How does this differ from a security cert?
- Security is its own exam (see Adjacent below). This one focuses on availability, reliability, and the operational decisions around AI in production. The two overlap on incident response and shared infrastructure.
- What if I fail?
- Pay $2 to retry once after the 2-hour gate. Fresh question subset on the retry.
- Is this worth taking if my org has not adopted AIOps yet?
- Especially if. You will be the person who can shape the policy when the procurement decision lands on your desk. Cheaper to learn the questions now than to inherit a misconfigured deployment later.
- How long is it valid?
- One year from issue. Renewal exams pull from the refreshed bank as the AIOps landscape shifts.
